Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 To Unlock iOS 5.0.1 Coming Next Monday

If you read our post from earlier today, we informed you that the iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.9b9 which comes with a bunch of new features and adds designed specifically for iOS 5.0.1 users. There was a feature that was most likely overread by most viewers. It mentions that ultrasn0w 1.2.5 will be released next Monday to add support for iOS 5.0.1. One thing that you would no longer need to do after this update is ultrasn0w fix iOS 5.0.1 in order to unlock on that firmware.

From the iPhone Dev Team blog:

ultrasn0w compatibility update (i.e. same baseband requirements) for 5.0.1 will be available on Cydia Monday

This update will only bring compatibility with iOS 5.0.1 to unlock the current lockable basebands rather than bringing a new unlock for higher basebands. These are the supported basebands for ultrasn0w 1.2.5 unlock on iOS 5.0.1:
