iOS 5.1 To Be Released In March Along With iPad 3 [Rumor]

When will the next iOS firmware come out, it’s always in the back of jail-breakers minds.  We always need to be careful when a new firmware is right around the corner because we don’t want to accidentally update and loose our jailbreak.  According to a new discovery in the iPhone’s carrier operator profiles, Apple could be set to drop iOS 5.1 on Friday, March 9th.

The discovery was made by YourDailyMac:

We today discovered that Apple published eleven new profiles for various iPhone-operators. These files are compatible with iOS 5.1 and are set for release on March 9. This could indicate that iOS 5.1 will be released around that date, is will be available for the following devices; iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 3G/4G, iPad, and iPad 2.

The iPad 3 is expected to come out in March, so there’s a possibility this March 9th date could hold a simultaneous launch of the next-gen iPad and iOS 5.1. Apple could announce the iPad 3 earlier in the week and make it available with the release of 5.1 that Friday.

What do you guys think?
