If you have updated your device (iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G or iPad) on iOS 5.1 mistakenly and need to install Siri voice assistant on iOS 5.1, then here is a way for you. SiriPort repo developers have updated SiriPort to version 1.5-0 which is now compatible with jailbroken devices running iOS 5.1firmware.
Additionally, SiriPort for iOS 5.1 brings some bug fixes with installation, added Japanese support, reduced the installation package size and also handles connectivity issues for several requests. It is now also possible to install the .DEB file manually. SiriPort for iOS 5.1 is available for installation from the repository http://repo.siriport.ru.

NOTE: SiriPort 1.5-0 version only supports jailbroken iOS 5.1, so if you have iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPad 1G is running on jailbroken iOS 5.0.1, then please don’t proceed with the steps below.
Install Siri Using SiriPort for iOS 5.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G
Step 1: If your device is not Jailbroken then you can jailbreak your iPhone 4 (GSM or CDMA), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G or first generation iPad using Redsn0w on 5.1.
Step 2: Launch Cydia and navigate to Manage> Sources> Add the Source http://repo.siriport.ru.
Step 3: Install SiriPort for iOS 5.1
Step 4: Download iPhone 4S certificate file from siriport.ru/1.crt. Email the certificate file to any of your email address and then open the email from device and install the certificate.
Step 5: Reboot your iOS device.
Step 6: Reboot your iOS device. Now, Go to settings and turn on Siri.
Step 7: Turn On and Activate Siri on your device and say “Hi Siri”. If Siri won’t work, wait 1-4 minutes and try again. (Say “Hi Siri” again)
