Great news from Pod2g today. A couple of days ago we did not know if the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd gen would be compatible with Pod2g’s 5.1.1/5.1 untethered jailbreak. Earlier today, he gave us a short update through Twitter letting us all know that he has found a “new way” to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd gen untethered. Good news. We’ve found a way through for iPod 3G and iPhone 3Gs users. Upcoming jailbreak will be compatible.

Remember, this jailbreak will work for 5.1 AND 5.1.1 If you have updated to 5.1.1 and were unsure if your device would be supported you can no rest assured that you will have an untethered jailbreak. There is no ETA on the release but hopefully we could see a release by the end of may. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
