This is the question that leads most people into dismissing these contests and offers. “Oh its gotta be fake or a scam!” Well not really… Like I said earlier these companies really are giving away free iPads. On their end lets say they give away an iPad for every 100 emails they gather. The idea is that those 100 email addresses all want an iPad. So they giveaway the iPad to one lucky winner and then now and again they can try and sell more products to everyone. So it ends up as a win win situation. A free iPad is given away and then the company has a base of targetted consumers to add to their mailing lists.
