How To Jailbreak With Out DFU Mode

Previously, if you had a broken home button, broken power button, or just couldn’t get into dfu mode there was no way for you to jailbreak or unlock your iPhone.  Well now with the new version of red snow you can jailbreak.

Step 1.  In redsn0w, go to “Extras->Even More>DFU IPSW” and select an IPSW that is currently being signed for your device and that you’d normally be able to restore to without any hacks.  redsn0w will create an “ENTER_DFU_” version of the IPSW that you can restore to just like any other IPSW, except that now you’ll be dumped into DFU mode towards the end of the restore (WARNING, your screen will remain completely black…the only way to even know its on is that iTunes and redsn0w will detect it!).
Step 2.  Open iTunes Hold Shift or option and click on restore.  Browse for the “ENTER_DFU” IPSW we just created and click ok.
Step 3.  After your device has restored it will be on a black screen, don’t unplug it from the computer.

Step 4.  In redsnow click on jailbreak and wait for the program to finish.
Step 5.  Done!
